Humanity and the Saints

I am not certain how many of you watch Monday night football, but I for one was at a loss for words as the New Orleans Saints worked magic Monday night. As I sat next to my husband watching the game, I couldn't speak without tears welling up in my eyes. Seeing the faces of happiness and the voices of tremendous gratitude and humility from the players, in a city once filled with death and sorrow, was a refreshing jolt of humanity.

For today, make a list of all the things you are grateful for and say aloud a prayer of thankgiving. Remember, the things that are bringing you sorrow and tragedy in your world may be considered blessings for another.
